Remote Sensing for Spatial Analysts

course description

July 15 & 16, 2008

Coastal Applications Using ArcGIS

course description

August 19 & 20, 2008

These courses are offered by the NOAA Coastal Services Center, in partnership with the URI Geospatial Extension Program, URI Coastal Institute, and the URI College of the Environment and Life Sciences.

These classes will be held at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI. Class size is limited to just 15 students.

These special training opportunities will be provided at no charge to participants. Morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided; lunch will be on your own.

Prerequisites: Both classes require having taken Introduction to ArcGIS or possess equivalent experience. Preference will be given to applicants who work in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and whose work somehow supports the environmental, social, and/or economic well being of the coast.

Interested in attending either, or both, of these classes? Submit your application now!

Student applications will be accepted through June 16th for the Remote Sensing class, and July 19 for the Coastal Applications class... or until both classes are filled to capacity. Apply early!

Do you work in Connecticut, or can't make the dates listed above? Please note that these classes will also be hosted by the University of Connecticut on July 17 & 18 and August 21 & 22, 2008. Contact the UConn Geospatial Technology Program for details!
